Air transportation
The total number of commercial air passengers departing (embarking) from Central Java in January 2025 was 139,265 people, up 3.41 percent compared to December 2024 which was recorded at 134,676 people.
The total number of commercial air passengers arriving (disembarking) to Central Java in January 2025 was 136,599 people, down 3.62 percent compared to December 2024 which was recorded at 141,731 people.
Domestic flights are only available at Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang and Adi Sumarmo Surakarta, while flights at Tunggul Wulung Airport in Cilacap, Dewadaru Jepara, JB. Soedirman Purbalingga and Ngloram Blora have not yet opened scheduled domestic flights.
International flights are only available at Adi Sumarmo Airport in Surakarta.
Sea Transportation
The total number of sea transportation passengers departing (embarking) through Tanjung Emas, Jepara, and Karimunjawa Seaports in January 2025 was 23,462 people, down 5.54 percent compared to December 2024 which was 24,838 people. Meanwhile, the number of sea transportation passengers arriving (disembarking) in January 2025 was recorded at 18,614 people, down 26.57 percent compared to December 2024 which was 25,349 people.
The total number of non-oil and gas commodity goods unloaded in tons at Jepara, Tanjung Emas Semarang, Tanjung Intan Cilacap, Tegal, and Karimunjawa Ports for domestic trade in January 2025 was recorded at 1,451,435 tons, down 13.08 percent compared to December 2024 which was 1,669,900 tons. The total volume of non-oil and gas commodity cargo in tons through the five major ports in Central Java in January 2025 was recorded at 2,039 tons, up 252.16 percent compared to the previous month which was 579 tons.
