National Statistics Day 2024

Data Friends, today is commemorated as National Statistics Day (HSN). In the 2024 HSN celebration, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) has set the theme 'Quality Statistics for a Golden Indonesia.' This theme emphasizes the importance of statistical data in building the Vision for a Golden Indonesia 2045, realizing Indonesia as a 'Sovereign, Advanced, and Sustainable Archipelagic Nation.'

The statistical data that serves as the foundation for national development does not only come from BPS. Other ministries and agencies also have the authority to produce sectoral data that meets the planning needs of their respective policy areas. BPS, as a government institution in the field of statistics, also plays a role in strengthening sectoral statistics by providing guidance to ministries and agencies in accordance with the mandate of Presidential Regulation No. 39 of 2019 on One Data Indonesia.

With quality statistical data, decision-making in policy formulation will be data-driven to align with needs and targets, as a step toward a Golden Indonesia 2045.
