Banjarnegara Regency Poverty to Decrease in 2024

(26/7) Banjarnegara Regency Poverty Decreases, Head of Banjarnegara Regency BPS together with the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) Team of Banjarnegara Regency BPS coordinated with the Acting Regent, Regional Secretary, and Head of Banjarnegara Regency Baperlitbang regarding the Banjarnegara Regency Poverty Rate.

Based on the results of the March 2024 National Socio-Economic Survey, the Banjarnegara Regency Poverty Rate in 2024 fell to 14.71% compared to 2023.

A total of 137.68 thousand Banjarnegara residents are still living in poverty. The number of poor people decreased by 1.31 thousand people compared to 2023.

In the meeting, the Head of Banjarnegara Regency BPS, Edwin Triyoga said that the poverty rate this year was the lowest in the last ten years.

However, in order for poverty to continue to decline, the regional government must continue to improve various sectors so that they can have a positive impact in reducing poverty and ensuring more equitable and sustainable development.
