Adaptation in Pandemic

The 2020 Population Census is not over. Every resident must be recorded. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, BPS made adjustments to the next stage of the 2020 Population Census. The trial was also carried out before starting the next phase of the Population Census.

The 10 regions chosen to become the test sites are Kab. Aceh Jaya, Kab. East Lampung, Kab. Pandeglang, Kota Jakarta Pusat, Kab. Bandung, Kab. Gianyar, Kab. Kupang, Kab. Kubu Raya, Kab. North Gorontalo, and Kab. South Sorong.

Health protocols in the field were also applied in this trial, starting from the use of hand sanitizers to face shields. It is hoped that the results of the evaluation of this activity can improve the plan for the implementation of the next phase of the Population Census.
